Light and lovely ist the overall impression of this simple pattern. Translucent shapes, mostly squares and frames are painted in rows. They are overlapping each other various times and in va

rious combinations, mingling the different colors to a new scale of shades. The white is here, in addition to the other bright colors, an important color standing for lightness and purity. It appears as white from the background as well as in form of added white watercolor.
