Tattoo Man

A Tattoo in the shape of a man. All of my portraits are imaginary people developed from pencil sketches – I do not use models. This piece was one in a series of tattoo paintings where
I developed the shape, feel and energy of the tattoos first. Then I fit the man around the tattoos. I don’t use brushes or tools in my paintings – just the oil pastels and my fingers.
